5. (a) List five examples of cases which can be reported at the office of Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service (DOVVSU).

6. (a) Differentiate between tourism and leisure.

While tourism is the practice of travelling to places for enjoyment and pleasure, leisure is taking some time off work to relax and enjoy sceneries.

(b) Name the regional capitals in which the following tourist sites can be located in Ghana.

(i) Lake Bosomtwi – Kumasi
(ii) Volta Estuary – Accra
(iii) Mole National Park – Tamale/ Damongo
(iv) Ussher Fort – Accra

(c) Describe four ways by which tourism can be promoted in Ghana.
(Write an essay of at least four paragraphs to describe, with examples, any four of these points)

(i) education on the benefits of tourism and leisure
(ii) publicity of nations tourist attractions locally
(iii) publicity of national tourist attractions internationally
(iv) beautification of tourist sites
(v) maintenance of the beauty of tourist sites
(vi) provision of security
(vii) affordable user fees
(viii) training and retraining of tour personnel
(ix) improved tourist facilities eg. Hotels, restaurants, transportation etc.
(x) political stability
(xi) hosting international festivals such as PANAFEST etc.
